About Us

What to expect when you visit:

When you arrive, our Hospitality Team will greet you at the door, provide a copy of our bulletin, and a visitor’s packet if you are new to ROL. Important announcements are on the “big screen” before service begins. You’ll know it’s almost time for us to begin when the 5-minute countdown begins! If the service has already started, the greeters can even help you find a seat!

Clothing- Come as you are! We don’t place a lot of emphasis on what you wear. The pastor sometimes preaches in jeans; our worship team wears everything from jeans to business casual attire. Some men and women in our congregation come in shorts and flip flops in the summer; some wear slacks and dress shirts and some ladies wear dresses. We just don’t worry too much about what you’re wearing….we’re just glad you’re here!

Music – our worship team plays a variety of contemporary songs in various styles, such as Hillsongs, Chris Tomlin, Parachute Band, Gateway Church, Kari Jobe, etc. We also incorporate hymns from time to time. Our worship is passionate and lively; as the congregation is encouraged to express their praise to God, many will sing, clap their hands, leap up and down, etc. For our songs, we have the lyrics on the big screen, so there’s no need to worry if you aren’t familiar with a particular song.

Sermons – our church emphasizes the preaching the Gospel(the Good News) of Jesus Christ and believes that everyone (believer and non-believer) needs to hear the Gospel regularly. Major recurring themes in almost every sermon is the message of what Jesus has done, our position as sons and daughters of God, the grace whereby we live and the Holy Spirit who transforms our lives and empowers us for ministry. Prepare to be encouraged, challenged, and convinced of your position as a son/daughter of God because of the Good News of the Gospel!

Kids- Children 5th grade and under remain with the parents during the music portion of the service and are dismissed to Children’s Church after the morning offering. You can sign you children in downstairs in the Welcome Center when you arrive.

Invitation – When the sermon ends, the worship team usually plays quietly as the Pastor invites the congregation to respond to the message. Some come forward and kneel at the front to pray; some come to one of our prayer partners and prays with them; many remain in their seats and worship. When the invitation ends, everyone is dismissed and Pastors Tim and Anne try to catch everyone at the door as they exit.
